Have questions about our process, services, or how we work? Here are the answers to the most common things clients ask us.
First, stay off the roof — that's our job. Take photos of anything you can see from the ground: dented gutters, shingles in the yard, damaged window screens. If water is coming in, get it tarped fast (call us — we handle emergency tarping). Then schedule a free inspection. Hail damage is often invisible from the ground but still shortens your roof's life and can void manufacturer warranties if it goes undocumented.
Yes. Hail bruises shingles — it knocks granules loose and fractures the mat underneath, which you can only see up close. That's exactly what our free inspections are for. We'll show you photos of what we find, and if there's nothing wrong, we'll tell you that too.
A younger roof with isolated damage — a few missing shingles, one leaky flashing point — usually just needs a repair. Replacement makes more sense when damage is widespread, leaks keep coming back, or the roof is near the end of its life. We'll give you an honest read either way; we repair plenty of roofs we could have tried to sell replacements on.
Watch for shingles that are curling, cracking, or missing; granules collecting in your gutters; water stains on ceilings or walls; daylight showing in the attic; and energy bills creeping up. Any one of these is worth a free inspection before it becomes a bigger problem.
Most homes are done in one to two days. Larger homes, steep pitches, or metal and tile systems can run three to five. We don't tear off more than we can dry-in the same day, so your home is never left exposed overnight.
Full tear-off of the old roof, inspection of the decking underneath (we replace rotten wood, not roof over it), new underlayment, new flashing, proper ventilation, your new roofing material, and a full cleanup including a magnetic sweep for nails. You get the manufacturer's material warranty plus our workmanship warranty in writing.
No. Just move vehicles out of the driveway, secure pets inside, and take fragile items off walls (roofing vibrates the house a bit). We'll walk the finished roof with you when it's done — that final walkthrough is part of every job.
Yes. We tarp grounds and pool areas, protect AC units, and stage tear-off debris so it goes straight into the trailer, not your flower beds. If we break it, we fix it — simple as that.
It depends on the size of the roof, how steep it is, and the material you choose — which is why anyone quoting you a price over the phone is guessing. Our inspection and written inspection are free and no-obligation, so you'll know your exact number before deciding anything.
Yes — we offer flexible financing options so a needed roof doesn't have to wait on a lump sum. Ask about current options when you schedule your free inspection at 979-217-2748.
Really free, no catch. We inspect the roof, document what we find with photos, and give you a written inspection. If your roof is fine, we'd rather tell you that and earn your call in five years than sell you something you don't need.
Asphalt is the value pick: lower upfront cost, solid 15–25 year life, wide color selection. Metal costs more upfront but lasts two to three times longer, sheds Texas sun and rain beautifully, and stands up better to hail. If you plan to stay in the home long-term, metal often wins the math; if not, quality asphalt is hard to beat.
Usually, yes. Class 4 impact-resistant shingles hold up dramatically better in hail, In a hail-prone area like the Brazos Valley, they often pay for their upcharge over the life of the roof.
Lighter colors reflect more heat, and many shingle lines now offer "cool roof" granules in darker shades too. That said, attic ventilation and insulation matter more for your energy bill than shingle color — we check both on every inspection.
Yes. We handle commercial installation, replacement, and repair — including flat and low-slope systems — for businesses across our service areas. Same in-house crews, same standards.
Once a year, plus after any major hail or wind event. Ours are free, so there's no reason to skip it. Catching a lifted shingle or cracked pipe boot early is a small fix; finding it after a year of slow leaking is a drywall, insulation, and mold problem.
More than most people think. Failed gutters dump water against your fascia, siding, and foundation — and foundation problems make roof problems look cheap. We install and repair gutter systems as part of keeping the whole envelope of your home dry.
Please don't. Pressure washing strips the protective granules off asphalt shingles and can force water under them. If you've got algae streaks or debris, ask us about safe cleaning methods — and never let anyone walk your roof who isn't insured for it.
A poorly vented attic in Texas can hit 150°F+, which cooks your shingles from underneath, drives up cooling bills, and can void shingle warranties. Proper intake and exhaust ventilation is one of the highest-value fixes on older homes, and we evaluate it on every job.
