The Texas Homeowner's Guide to Gutters

The Texas Homeowner's Guide to Gutters

Gutters are the most underrated part of your roof system. When they fail, the damage shows up in expensive places: fascia, siding, landscaping, and worst of all, your foundation.

What Texas rain demands

Texas storms dump a lot of water fast. Standard 5-inch gutters overwhelm quickly on larger roofs — 6-inch seamless gutters with properly sized downspouts handle our downpours far better. Seamless matters too: fewer joints means fewer leaks.

Keeping them working

Clean them at least twice a year (more with trees overhead), check that downspouts discharge several feet from the foundation, and watch for sagging or separation after big storms. We install and repair seamless gutter systems as part of keeping the whole envelope of your home dry.
